Work With Me
I am able to offer short- and long-term face-to-face counselling, as well as counselling via telephone or online video link.
We will work collaboratively throughout the process. Whether we work together for a short time or over a longer period, there will be regular points at which we review the therapy. This is important to make sure that you are getting the help and support that you need.
I work with young people and adults.
Sessions last 50 minutes and start from £40.
Some things I can help with include low mood, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress/burnout, bullying or abuse, childhood trauma, self-harm, suicidal thoughts/feelings, relationships or loneliness.
What to expect
Seeing a therapist for the first time can sometimes feel a little overwhelming. I hope that in our introductory call together you will feel welcome and relaxed as we discuss what your expectations are of the therapy and what I can offer. I can explain more about how counselling works and answer any questions you have.
The first session is an opportunity to see if you feel comfortable working with me. It is also a chance for us to discuss the terms of the therapy including what we expect from each other in the counselling relationship.
I provide a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment in which you can discuss your concerns and worries freely. I’m aware that it can sometimes feel very difficult to talk to those closest to you about your innermost thoughts and feelings. Speaking to a professional can relieve the isolation and misunderstanding that this can create.
Self-Esteem and anxiety workshops are run throughout the year. These are for individuals who may not want or need counselling. The purpose of these workshops is to provide you with the knowledge and tools you needs to do the work yourself.
